The digital mess

"And the murderer is..."--NO SIGNAL!

It has been over a year since the nation's television broadcast stations were mandated to make all television analog signals digital. We were promised a clearer picture and more channels. Ya right. The analog to digital image is very fragile...pixilated images and then ending in NO SIGNAL. The image formats are non-standard...full screen to a CinemaScope image ratio. The extra channels. Well, mostly dedicated, heavily commercialized, weather broadcasts and an over abundance of religious stations. It has been a total failure. And the overall selection of programs is being taken over by the "paid program" i.e., an infomercial.
