"No Ray, It Was You"
Watched
Field of Dreams with TheWife over the weekend, and had a discussion about a part of the last scene. After Ray realizes that the catcher is his father, he turns to Shoeless Joe and says "It was you." To which Shoeless Joe replies, "No Ray, it was you."
To what does the "it" refer? We had three distinct possibilities we were trying to sort through.
(1) It was you who brought the father back.
(2) It was your pain that was to be eased.
(3) The voice is yours.
Is it one of these three interpretations? If do, which one? If not, what were they talking about?

Comedist Fathers' Day
This weekend's Comedist sermon is in honor of Fathers' Day. A wonderful tradition whereby we take time to thank our dads. As a father now myself, I only hope that I can live up to the comedic examples of my father and grandfather. It is my father...
